UCI Transportation removes abandoned bikes from the campus and after a 30-day holding period, these bikes are made available for sale at low cost to the campus and the community through the reCycle Fair.

Bicycle Donation Program

Bikes and bike parts that are not purchased are donated to the Bicycle Donation Program. These bikes are cleaned up and donated to organizations such as Shelter for the Boys and Girls Club, CASA, the Homeless in Midway City, Olive Crest Homes, Services for Abused Children in Santa Ana, Healthy Active Streets, and The Bicycle Tree. You may also donate your bike by dropping it off at the Guest & Event Services office in the Student Center Parking Structure during business hours.

Report Abandoned Bikes

To report abandoned bikes or bikes that are not parked at designated racks, please email biking@uci.edu and include a description of the bike, the location, and a photo.
