Daily Bike Trivia
May 12 Question: What percentage of effectiveness do helmets have when preventing head injury?
Biking during the Stay-at-Home Order
When you choose to bike instead of a car to run essential errands, you are making the biggest impact on your carbon footprint. Poor air quality is largely caused by motor vehicle exhaust, which means riding doesn’t just help your health but the community around you.
With people practicing physical distances and working from home, you may feel isolated and disconnected from your community. Riding is a great way to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and reconnect with the world around you. Just 20-30 minutes of moderate exercise per day helps boost and strengthen your immune system. You can also reduce your stress levels, which needless to say, we all are looking to do. On the right, you'll find resources from the League of American Bicyclists that help guide you on the tips and benefits of riding during the Stay-At-Home order. Remember to stay safe!
